A Note to Our Churches:

Please find below copies of the CURRENT by-laws for Loudon County Baptist Association and the PROPOSED new by-laws from the Executive Board Exploratory Team. The documents have been mailed to each church via Priority Mail on May 28, 2026.

We ask that each church messenger prayerfully consider and review both. A ballot vote will be given to church messengers for the purpose of the new proposed by-laws to move from an Administrative Leadership Team to an Executive Board or to keep the current by-laws in place. 

 

It is very important that all church messengers attend the Special Called Meeting to represent their prospective churches in the vote.

As per the current by-laws, Article III, Section 2- Messengers states the following:
 

Messengers shall be elected by the membership churches, according to the following formula. Each church shall be entitled to three (3) messengers, and one (1) additional messenger for each fifty (50) members above the first fifty (50), not to exceed ten (10) messengers. (Example: A church with a membership of 100 can have 4 messengers)
